This episode guides and helps us when we experience domestic violence
According to National Statistics, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. In general, women aged 18 to 24 and 25 to 34 have the highest rates of intimate partner violence. What would you do if you were one of those women that suffer domestic violence?
Domestic violence is still prevalent today primarily due to silence and a lack of knowledge. This episode, with domestic violence survivor Maria Scott, discusses how to stop domestic violence and what the victim should do. If you are a victim of domestic violence, it is critical to understand that you are not alone. Bring up your situation with friends and family, and use resources such as hotlines and support groups to learn more about what you can do. Don't be afraid to ask for assistance. Don't be afraid to offer assistance. Do something if you know someone who is a victim of domestic violence.
Here are some key highlights to know more about this episode of Envision me Podcast:
Take a look at Maria Scott’s  story
How seeing beautiful houses prod her to save money and buy her own beautiful house
Her tragic story with her abusive husband
Sneak peek of her book  "Wanna Go. Wanna Stay: My Journey in a Season of Abuse"
Opinion on giving second chances to people who are abusive
Why some women can’t just leave their abusive partner
What made her leave their abusive relationship
Is it okay to stay in an abusive relationship when you still have feelings for your partner?
Advice to women who are going through domestic violence
Who to call when you are experiencing domestic violence
Key Takeaway
I hope that anyone who is in this situation will get a friend who understands what needs to happen here. My thought right after I left my husband was to tell people, just get out. Just get out, just get out. That's not what your friend needs to tell you. Your friend needs to say, I am here for you. I will listen to you. Tell me everything that happened. What do you want to do from here on out? And never miss judgment. That person would just listen and be there. Maybe that's their safe place. - Maria Scott
If you find out about somebody who is in a domestic violence situation, please be their listening ear. And the person that you probably don't know about is right on your block. One out of every four women. - Maria Scott
